July 22, 2007 14 year Dunkirk "resident" Boots The Cat passed away on July 22, 2007 after succumbing to rapid-onset feline Leukemia. Boots was born on Dunkirk in 1993 and, in typical feline fashion, had multiple people/households catering to her needs. She could often be seen staring down dogs and cars on Dunkirk and going on walks with Dunkirk friends. She will be missed.
