New Bellwood Avenue Condo Project To Attract First Time Home Buyers

  July 26, 2005

A new 63-unit condominium project is planned for Bellwood Avenue, the short, curved street that starts and ends within a block on the south side of Olympic Blvd. near Fox Hills Drive (see map below). The developers would demolish 81 existing rental units on four parcels of land to make way for 63 new condominiums. The site currently holds (1) 1+1, (20) Single + 1, and (60) Bachelor + 1 units.

The new condominiums would be between 1,100 and 1,400 square feet in size, and would be priced to attract first time Westside home buyers.

The Tract 7260 Board of Directors will closely monitor the Bellwood project to make sure that the developers follow zoning regulations relating to density and traffic impact, confine construction to legally permissible hours, and minimize the noise and dirt that accompanies construction. As with any new development, the Board seeks a productive working relationship with the Bellwood project developers in the hope that the new condos will ultimately enhance our neighborhood.
